Ira Nor produces eclectic electronic pop music that fans of the likes of Charli XCX and Hannah Diamond will lap up. Her latest cut, ‘Doomed’, is hyperpop at its finest. Blurry synth flourishes, massive drum and bass accompaniments and, of course, a soaring indie-pop lead vocal layered with effects. “It's about moving past a relationship that always was doomed; getting the power over yourself back, and letting go of an unhealthy relationship," she says. “Pain can be beautiful if you use it in the right context, so I always try to do something beautiful with mine.” Her debut EP, Swim Ira, is due for release on August 26th, 2022. -Dan Peeke.
